Why Choose Nirgun Ghee?
At Nirgun, we are committed to preserving the ancient traditions of Vedic ghee-making while maintaining the highest standards of purity and quality. Our ghee is produced using the traditional Bilona method, which involves slow churning of cultured butter to extract pure ghee. This time-honored process ensures that all the beneficial nutrients, aromatic compounds, and natural enzymes are preserved in every jar.
We source our milk exclusively from indigenous Himalayan cattle that graze freely on the pristine pastures of the Himalayas. These cattle produce A2 milk, which is naturally easier to digest and richer in essential nutrients compared to conventional milk. Every batch is lab-tested to guarantee 100% purity, zero additives, and complete freedom from contaminants..

Storage & Logistics FAQ
No, refrigeration is not required. Pure ghee is a shelf-stable fat. Store your Nirgun jar in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight. Always use a clean, completely dry spoon to avoid introducing moisture, which can cause spoilage. When stored correctly, it retains its pristine quality for up to 12 months from the date of packaging.
We deliver across India. Orders are typically processed within 24 to 48 hours and arrive at your doorstep within 3 to 7 business days depending on your location. Because our ghee is a premium food product, we do not accept returns once a jar is opened due to health and safety regulations. However, if your glass jar arrives damaged or broken during transit, please contact our support team within 24 hours of delivery, and we will ship a replacement immediately.
Yes. Nirgun is fully registered and compliant with food safety regulations under FSSAI License Numbers: 22825103000043 and 22826103000014. Our license details are prominently printed on every product label and product box for complete legal transparency.
USAGE & HEALTH FAQ
Yes. During our slow, wood-fired clarification process, water evaporates, and milk solids (which contain lactose and casein) settle at the bottom and are completely skimmed away. The result is a pure, golden fat fluid that is naturally lactose-free and casein-free, making it perfectly safe for most dairy-sensitive individuals.
Absolutely. Because we practice ethical, Ahinsa milking (where the calf is fully fed first) and strictly follow the clean, traditional Vedic Bilona method, Nirgun Ghee carries a very high level of Sattvic spiritual and physical purity. It is perfectly suited for lighting pure diyas, preparing Prasad, and using in sacred household rituals.
While it adds incredible flavor when drizzled over hot dals, rotis, and rice, the ultimate traditional wellness ritual is consuming one teaspoon of warm Nirgun Ghee on an empty stomach first thing in the morning with a glass of warm water. This helps kindle your digestive fire (Agni) and lubricates the body from within.
Product & Sourcing FAQ
Most commercial ghee is made in minutes by spinning raw cream in giant industrial centrifuges. Nirgun Ghee is crafted using the ancient Vedic Bilona method. We source A2 milk from indigenous Himalayan cows grazing on medicinal alpine herbs, turn that milk into whole-milk curd overnight, and hand-churn it with a traditional wooden churner to extract pure mountain butter before slow-cooking it over a wood fire. It takes nearly 30 liters of pure A2 milk to craft just 1 liter of our ghee.
A2 ghee is made exclusively from the milk of indigenous (Desi) cow breeds that naturally produce only the A2 beta-casein protein. Modern commercial dairy farms often use crossbred cows that produce A1 protein, which many people find difficult to digest. Nirgun A2 Ghee is highly bioavailable, meaning it is gentle on the stomach and easily absorbed by the body.
This variation is the ultimate proof of our purity! We do not use artificial color stabilizers or chemical blends. Because our cows graze freely on open Himalayan pastures, their diet changes with the weather. Summer and monsoon batches are vibrantly golden-yellow due to fresh green herbs, while winter batches are naturally a lighter, creamy pale gold.
